I work for an insurance agency and this number called our office. 415-638-5025 was referenced as a call back number. I called to make them remove us from their list because we are a place of business. I also let them know that I know they are not the IRS. You call back and it's a call center- you can hear a lot of people in the background. We need to go after these people/criminals. Remember people, the IRS does not call!
I got a call from this number and return the call and they were starting to ask me all this information so I asked to speak with a supervisor. The man on the phone with a very surly and threatening and proceeded to tell me if I hung up the phone I would be arrested by local authorities and take them to Washington and put in prison potentially. I am normally not a gullible person but this man sounded so authoritative that I had to do more research to figure out this is a scam! There has to be a way to put these people in jail!
