Received a call from this number saying I could get a 10 percent discount on my pg&e bill for the next two months. Then asked for my account number to activate the discount. This is a scam to get my info. Pg&e already has my account number. Do not fall for this scam.

The male caller said I "qualify" for 10% discount on gas portion of PG&E bill for 2 months. I kept the guy on the phone to see where this was going. He obviously didn't have any real information about my gas usage. He also quoted my house number wrong, probably to see if I would correct him. We never got to the point where he asked for a PG&E account number (which I had no intentions of giving him). The caller had a distinct South Asian accent.
Just like others are mentioning, I'm getting repeated calls. If I don't answer they hang up on the voicemail. Today, I actually took the call and they said they were a supplier of natural gas to PG&E. They stated that we would be getting a discount on our next two bills, but they needed our 'Service ID' on our bill. This is a scam to get information - Don't be fooled! If they were at all connected with PG&E they would have this information. They need to be reported!
