Didn't pick up the 2 times it called, left an automated message saying it was a "Julie Smith" with the irs. Looked around and found that "Julie" had scamed other people with a different number. Obviously a scam anyway, so DO NOT REPLY TO THIS.
My aunt also received a call from a Julie Smith at (415) 655-1940. I called the number and a man answered. I asked to speak with Julie Smith and he asked me what number she had contacted me at. I told him I did not have that information and that I was representing person. The man hung up on me. SCAM
I recieved a call from an automated system saying they were the IRSand that I needed to call them ASAP. I called them back and a very rude man said i owed 3481.61$. I told him I did not understand how this could be and he became very rude and said i was going to be arrested and once again I asked him to clairify and he said he didnt need to and that i had 30 min to call him back with a payment. I asked here would i send this payment to and he said he didnt have to provide me that info at this time and said call back and then he would tell me and hung up. The # was 415-655-1940. I found out that this was a scam and good thing I gave him no info. I called the # back and said i called the IRS and he hung up on me and I tried to call back over and over and they continued to hang up on me. Please do not fall for this like I said good thing I did not give any info but, when you get the call they sound all scary and real but, its not!!!!!
