friend of mine got this call after dealing with a "
[email protected]" address after responding to an AutoTrader.com ad.
These scams are usually easy to tell if there was a "Too Good To Be True" price tag on the car you saw.
After hearing my friend's story I called the number and it was a "Jack Morgan" with a super middle eastern accent which means his name is probably not Jack Morgan. He was also claiming to be an ebay agent.
The invoice he sent said "ebay motors" but it was a motors-purchase.net pretending to be ebay.
I had some fun messing with him and said I sent the payment in, then i made fun of his name in regards to his accent. He claimed to be from denmark, it was funny.
Do not fall for these tricks.
