Called my cell. There was a pause after I answered & a robotic sounding voice who identifies herself as "Lisa" from some generic sounding company I can't remember. It said they were going to be "in our area, giving away free...phones (? Or free something)" I interrupted the spiel to ask if she was real because she definitely sounded like a recording. It took a couple of seconds to stop (rather robotically), then said "I am real. Why do you ask?" WTF?! Even the answer sounded pre-recorded but that is some sophisticated software to answer my question that way & ask me a question back. I, stunned, said "Becuae you sound like a robot." Then, a couple of seconds of silence & she/it said "Let's just finish, okay?" Also sounded...well, robotic. Exactly like a corporate voice menu recording, even with the obligatory "cheerful-ish" voice inflection. I laughed & hung up on her/it. I still don't know if t was a real person, but am 100% it was an unsolicited telemarketing call. Welcome to the 21st century.
Robo call. I answered after short pause robo asked how I was doing, ME: I'm fine Robo: that's good and then went into they are going to be in my area and are giving away something or other, I said I was not interested, Robo kept right on talking. I asked Robo what's your name, CLICK hung up on me
Have gotten several annoying calls from this number. My ID said Alarm Co. Did not answer and I will block it. Not that will stop them from going to another number.
