Have received at least 4 calls this weekend. Haven't picked up because I don't recognize the number. But after reading these posts, it makes sense. I went to the Do Not Call Registry to file a report. And this is a portion of what it says:
*Reminder:Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you. Companies with which you do business may also continue to call, unless you have asked them to stop calling you. If you have asked them to stop calling, please keep a record of the date you made the request and include that information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company. Click Here for more information about the companies that may continue to call the numbers on the Registry.
At least I now know the number and can continue to avoid picking up.
4-5 calls each on my business line, my boyfriend's mobile as well as mine in the past couple of days. Great strategy for pissing off all your voters right before election.
I was told by the supervisor of the person that called me (multiple times!) that these calls are on the behalf of Marin Healthcare District http://www.marinhealthcare.org/ and are made by Cal Marketing. Louis Martinez, John Lucas and Alton Eason were names given to me. http://www.calmarketinggroup.com/ 8352 Clairemont Mesa, San Diego, CA 92111 858.279.5585 | 800.772.2658 toll free
I picked up the third call. A woman with an Indian accent without identifying herself demanded "Are you going to vote for Prop 29?". I told her not to call me again.
