Not a prank call - it's Mercari's (selling app) automated system for verifying new accounts. If you didn't sign up, then either someone typo'd putting in a phone number and put in yours by mistake, or put in a wrong one on purpose to see if they could get past the system. This isn't a spam number, FYI.

...haven't heard that scammers often spoof legitimate numbers.
