I keep getting these calls ,when I answer ,the first words you here are ! DON'T HANG UP !
they are trying to give a alarm system away ,please give it to some one else and stop calling me
Caller ID says it is "San Francisco". Excact same robocall message from yesterday's "Pasadena CA" (626-207-7219) and "New York" (631-482-3381). Scam saying I've been selected to receive a free GE wireless home security unit. Waiting for a human, when I asked to be removed, I was called a "Godd**** [***]" and they hung up.
Reporting every call to the fed's and keeping a list for future class-action.
Same robocall message about a "free" GE security system as from other numbers coming in from all over the country. Message says to press 1 for a "customer service" rep to hear more about it. I press1 and listen for rep to come on and lay the phone down so that they can talk to the desk. I'll do it every time because I've told these jerks to stop calling me but it makes no difference. They just keep on calling. Everybody should do it and waste their time. One would think their computer calling system would mark my number as unresponsive.
I suspect they are spoofing their number that's why the exact same message is used over and over again on different numbers from other areas of the country. I think the aim is to get some sucker to give them their credit card number in order to pay some "small" fee to claim their "free" security system.
The robo-call states my home has won a free GE alarm system and DON'T HANG UP!! So I did I knew this was a fraudulent call. On my caller id it listed the phone number and that it was a cell phone in California.
