Global Service Group , says they are a mediation company, didn't call me directly..called a family member. Got very rude when I asked questions about who they represent and said they don't have time for 20 questions. I hung up. I do not owe anybody money so I believe this to be a scam.
They called me and called my family looking for me. Claimed it was a payday loan through Manhattan Processing which I never took out. What's scary is they had my last four digits of my social and old information of mine. The person I spoke to claimed to be Terry Ross and his company is Global Service Group. He stated that the debt was going to litigation. I said this wasn't my debt and this is clearly identity theft. I said I was going to file with the FTC and the police department. He tried to discourage me and said it was going to litigation. I said that's fine but I needed a validation notice from them and their company name and address so I could file with the necessary authorities which is my right as a consumer. He said the company name and hung up on me. I encourage everyone who has received this call, to file a complaint with the FTC and possibly a police report. If they are legitimate then they are not following the proper federal guidelines and consumer rights.
