yes A caller name Malvin trying to act interested in a property listing -- actual a Loopnet salesperson trying to sell an upgrade to a Loopnet account.

Yes, I got mine this morning. Melvin from LoopNet.com trying to sell me a monthly subscription to their "upgraded" service so that I could get a list of "potential" buyers for my commercial property.
If that is their business model - doesn't it suck to be on the buyer end of this deal? You are filling out contact info only to have it land in the round file because they own your contact info. Nice.
Better was the fact I had to break little "Melvins" heart with the news that I wasn't going to be upgrading MY listing to get all of their hijacked "buyers" info at sky high prices. I blew him out with the fact that I was working a deal on this property with a local buyer and that I don't PAY for "leads" - but I would gladly offer him a percentage of the commission at closing should one of his 'potential buyers' actually come through with a better offer...funny how all of the "lead sellers" don't want any part of that kind of a deal isn't it?
They NEVER put their money where their mouth is.
If that were my company, you could bet your sweet a$$ that I would be doing the commission split!! Rock that cash baby!!
