Was told a member of my family had gotten into a car accident and was in critical condition. They asked if I was next of kin and to provide my insurance information and credit card for hospital expenses. [***] bottom feeding scumbags!!
I received a call from this number and since I didn't recognize it or know anyone in CA I let it go to voicemail. They, of course, didn't leave a message. I blocked the number. Just an FYI, I read somewhere that you shouldn't answer or call the number back because your number will be recognized as a legit number and they'll keep calling. I get these calls all the time from all over the country on my new phone and new #. I have more of these calls on my new phone than legitimate calls.
