Got a call from this number, no idea who it was but they DID leave a message, in a language I couldn't understand. Almost sounded like english except a bit muffled, but then the inflections were in the wrong spots and I couldn't understand anything they said.
This supposed Novato, CA number called twice in the past 2 days. The first time I was sleeping so was unaware of the call. It registered on the caller id but left no message. It called again today, and I warily picked up. This very creepy, robotic-mechanical-fake voice said it was taking a survey, the first question being what was my age. I'm very happy to participate in legitimate polls, surveys, as well as the 10-year US Census, because that information is useful to local and national planners and other legitimate agencies/political parties/etc. But my strong sense was this whatever-it-was was up to no good. There's an old saying; "When in doubt, DON'T". The tried-&-true maxim was whispering in my ear big-time with this one. Don't you fall for it either!
