Received the same call from individual claiming to be from the office of legal affairs. He requests a retainer so that he can proceed to help you with a legal action that has been started against you. He gives the call back # as 415-932-8293 & states that if you do not call back "it will be a legal mess for you." He ends the call by stating "have a blessed day."
Don't bother returning the call. IF you did have a problem, you would be notified in writing & have the document mailed to you or delivered by a real process server.

Received the same scam phone call via a left message here in Virginia a few days ago. Broken english with thick Indian/Middle eastern accent and could tell they were ready from a script. It was very hard to understand. Dept of Legal Affairs was mentioned along with pending legal action against my "Name". Of Course no company name was mentioned. I giggled at their poor execution and deleted the message off my answering machine. Do people really fall for this stuff? Wow!
