You first have to care about the laws to abide by them. They don't care about the time, day, how old you are, health, laws, lists, or anything. Their motive is to cheat and steal and they run 24/7 365. Don't answer the phone in any way to stymie the calls eventually. Don't put anything past telepests either, which includes calls coming at unreasonable hours.
What needs to be fixed is people's understanding of what the 'Do not call' list is, does, and is for. It is not call blocking. Illegal telemarketers, scammers, and crooks will still call you. Please remember this. If you are on the 'DNC list' and you get a telemarketing call - it is crooks calling you. A real business will not.
This number has been calling me 5 times a day at least for weeks! I usually don't answer because I'm at work but today I tried to call it back and it said it was not a working number. They called again a few mins ago and I answered and they wanted to know what kind of insurance I had and acted like they were going to try to sell me some insurance. Well I told him I get calls from them several times a day and I tried to call back and it says it's not a working number. When I said that the guy said "ok bye" in a smart [***] way and hung up. I'm so sick of these people calling me all day and I don't know how they could have gotten my cell phone number bc I didn't sign up for anything! I will go to the authorities or whatever I have to do to find out who these little [***] are and what kind of scam they are trying to pull on so many people. I had no idea there were so many others being called by this same number until I looked the number up. Wow! I did block the number from calling back but I'm sure they will call from another number next. Has anyone tried to contact anyone about this before? I will do whatever I have to do to make it stop so any input on what we can do to stop this would be greatly appreciated.
