I was filling out my permanent resident card renewl form on the US Immigration website when i was finishing up and got a call from this guy with a 1-415 number with an Indian accent telling me he was from immigraton and i could pay 190 dollars extra to file my form with his help online. !@??? WTF? Soo fishy, i told him I would call my LOCAL office for any help I might need. He was scamming off an official goverment website. I hope he gets caught and thrown out of this country, [***].
I tried to apply for my citizenship but before i fill up my application they ask for my credit card number so I stopped then after 1 hour somebody called with an Indian accent. This is a scam!!!
Same thing with me - stopped filling out the form when it asked for a credit card. First got a spam email now a phone call. They make the site look like a government agency. Scam!
This webpage wants like $60 in FedEX fees to pick up and send back the passport renewal, on top of the $110 State Dept. fee. Why if it's not expedited do this, the post office is only 4-5 bucks just to mail with tracking like US Dept. of State recommends. After entering the prelim info on the first Renewal panel on the US Passport Online.com page, the second page wants cc info which seemed suspicious that quick in the process. After stopping there, within an hour 415-946-4094 calls to 'help' me. No gov. agency has funds and personnel to follow-up like this and respond this quickly and thoroughly. I think this is a .com website appearing like they do .gov work and trying to intercept peoples confidential information - beware.
