I received 2 phone calls from 2 different 415 numbers... Asked me about my dads ex wife by her new married name (she no longer has my last name... Said I was a reference on a loan she took out... Well I haven't talked to my dads ex is 18 years... Nor does she even have my cell number... I Told the girl to go get a real job and she threatened me with legal action... My response to her was.... GO suck a D#$&..
The payday scammers are at it again! Be aware of this number and also 4159931133. They called my sister who lives out of town. When I called the number back a lot of static on the other line. Lady had an accent and she said her name was Marsha. She said I owed 1,030.00 in a payday loan. She needed 500.00 from me right then to keep it from going to court. She refused to tell me who the so called creditor was and just said CPE. She said the only correspondence would be through email! Big red flag!
These people started calling my number from other numbers saying I received a payday loan back in 2011 and that I need to pay $800. I told him I never got such a loan and he wanted to try getting mouthy and I WILL NOT HAVE THAT [***]! Well I said a few choice things to them and blocked their number. They even said my sons name and number saying I used him as a reference. BIG RED FLAG was that in 2011 my son was a minor and the number the guy said he had for my son was one my son had just gotten in the past few months. Now today they called my phone from a California number (415)-993-1130...I will just continue to check the internet and keep blocking these idiots! DON'T FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!!!
These people are relentless! They also use the numbers 415-993-1133; 415-763-1661; 352-403-0637. I find it interesting that they claim to be from the bay area, yet refer you to a number that is in Florida. They call themselves "PreTrial Investigators". Every person that has called has had an American name with a thick, middle eastern accent. The latest person to call me was "Kathy Lee". I guess she is a fan of the Today Show. Every voice mail is read from a script, no matter who is calling. When the 415 area code shoes up on my phone, it also shows "Switzerland". When they called yesterday I had had it! I answered and gave "Kathy Lee" a piece of my mind. I told her they have been reported to the FTC, local FBI and my local police department. The number coming from 352-403-0637 was very threatening and even threatened me with a warrant. I told her this and she said we don't threaten. I said yes you do, and you are all liars. She refuses to give me the address of the business. She also said they only do business through email and fax machine, and I could have her P.O. Box number. I told her she is breaking so many collections laws by not sending the consumer a debt letter. They only want to scare you with the name of the business "PreTrial Investigators". Please do not let these people bully you. Take action against them! Report them like I did to the organizations listed above. The only way to stop them is to fight back. I was scammed and scared into paying a payday loan that didn't exist, over 800.00 dollars 2 1/2 years ago! I am not scared anymore, and I refuse to be a victim again.
