Just got the same call on my cell. As stated before, very few people have my number. Rogers is my provider. I'm wondering if whomever is doing this (the calling) has an automatic dialer, dialing every number (ex. 000-000-0000, 000-000-0001, and so on).
once you press 1 they transfer you to collect your car insurance information to see if you are "eligible" for extended car insurance... They got your information by cross-referencing publically available info... seems to be some kind of scam
Got a call from 416-000-3146, fake numbers I'm sure. Left an empty message in my voice mail. From other users' notes here, looks like it's another scam to trick ppl pressing the key on their phone, so that they can get your authorization to charge you on your phone bill >:/
