416-000-xxxx,
I get them several times a day, everyday. I don't answer them. Everyone I know also gets these calls, all of them trace them back to some factory/warranty/car company with no name. Like all of you, they get asked personal information.
After hearing about this SCAM I decided to try to have a little fun with them. The caller claimed that my vehicle warranty is expiring. I asked which company she represented to see if she would even say Nissan, the manufactuer of my vehicle, but instead she said she was with Warranty Services. I asked her who or which company did she get this number from and replied, "From various sources!" She then told me that she could extent the warranty on my vehicle but she needed some personnal information and would need my first and last name for starters. Im sure the caller would have asked for credit card and/or banking information if I had let the call go on but instead just told her to take my name off the list...DEFINITE SCAM.
I suggest you answer and just tell them to take your name off the list otherwise they call back every day sometimes up to 4 times a day!
These two numbers (416-000-7796 and 416-907-4361)keep calling my Telus cell phone, I never answer as I don't recognize the number. They leave voicemail regarding car warrenties expiring. I don't own a car so I know it must be a scam. When you call back a recording say the number you called cannot be comleted as dialed.
