I wouldn't mess with them, they have your phone number. The scammers just retaliate by putting your number onto more robocalling lists or spoof your number for their outgoing calls. Or even worse would be crank calls in the middle of the night from a robo-dialer.
Am in Toronto. Ring twice and disconnected. Call display shows long distance, even though this should be a local number for me. Spoofed number as no number here begin is '0". Scam of some sort.
As the message now says "Press 1 to speak to a member services representative", I have taken to doing so to mess with them a bit. This one hung up soon after I corrected their impression of my gender but declined to enter into a discussion of the point.
