Have experienced many of the same as noted in some of the posts already made. Have now resorted to the following standard lines:
"I do not donate to charities via telemarketing, I only donate to my selected charities via the postal service, direct donation or via the internet."
" I do not have time to speak with you right now but please give me your telephone number and I will call you back." (If given a tele. # - investigate to whom the telephone number is assigned before determining whether to call back or not)
They called me today and I was able to speak to the supervisor at 416-900-2930 (Mark) who put me on the do not call list for the 3rd time. This company calls almost weekly. I have placed a complaint with the National do not call list and they aslo do nothing. Good luck to everybody and call the supervior and they will help you
