This company called me at 9:15 a.m.  

They made it seem like I had called them to repair my fridge.  I told the person on the phone (Vince) that I have a new fridge, and nothing is wrong with it, and that I did not call for service.

Vince then confirmed my phone number, and then asked me for my name (to check up with me later).  I told him I prefer not to give out my name (since I have never dealt with this company).  He then repeated in a low voice "doesn't want to give out his name" and then I heard someone pressing the numbers on his keypad.  Then he hung up.

I have never dealt with this company before, so he and his company Commonwealth Appliances,

should never have called me in the first place.  

I felt as though this person is called random numbers in the hopes of tricking someone into thinking a call was placed for service.  

I strongly believe this was a fraudulent call to drum up business.

It certainly was extremely stupid of this person to identify himself and not disguise his phone number if he is attempting to drum up business.  A google maps search of his address shows this company is operating out of a home on a street very close to where I go shopping at Highland Farms.

At any rate I'm going to block this caller from calling my phone again, and I'm going to file a complaint with the CRTC for violation of the "Do not call list" which I am on.
