Whoops... my partner just got home and according to him, the 416-368-2511 is now the switchboard number, and the 416-368-1026 is someone looking for him directly as it's an internal number to number exchange no longer advertised. Which is kinda stupid if you ask me. A number once used as their switchboard number is no longer the switchboard number but now an internal number... smh...
The number is the Royal York Hotel in Toronto,. It's the main switchboard's number. Calling back is pointless because caller iD does not show which extension on that number called. The funny thing is I searched around and found a few complaints for that number, but my husband works for the Royal York Hotel, and though he and I both know that number to be from the main switchboard, he has a direct exchange so does not call via the switchboard.
It is possible the call doesn't actually come from Royal York Hotel, but a faked iD outgoing number the person thought was a dummy number. Mind you I've also gotten calls from 416-967-11-11 which is the local and popular Pizza Pizza's ordering number for the Toronto area. I'm guessing the real caller thought they selected a dummy number, but couldn't bothered to check.
Then again it is possible this person called looking for my husband, but didn't know his direct line number.
