Same as Joe, He had a thick Indian / [***] accent and said eh was from Microsoft. Said my computer was sending error messages to Microsoft and he wanted to help. I could hear other callers in the background.
The caller ID simply said "Cell Phone ON 4164148845"
I told him my computer should not be giving him my contact information and gave him several opportunities to realize I was on to his scam but he did not hang up on me. When he asked if i could go to my computer I told him was obviously a crack baby and hung up on him. This is the first time i was not hung up on when they realized i was on to them.
Had same East Indian-accented man call 3 times last month but the phone # at that time was 212 area code and was listed as "various sites" in and around New York City. Called Verizon...man said he never heard of these people and blocked my number...now they're using 416-414-8845 to harass people. Verizon also said not to do anything they tell you to do to your computer and NEVER agree to let them access your lines.
