Just got a message left on my machine from the CRA department, Canada Revenue Agency. This message is intended for you, but he doesn't say my name. He gives his name 'Officer Eric Foster', again, like the others, saying that it was an extremely time sensitive matter with the CRA. He said that I or my appointed attorney should call asap. He repeated the number twice and said that it was the hotline to my division. It did match the number on my caller ID. If I don't call back, he said that I would be in big trouble. He again stressed that I or my attorney should call. He said that I should not even think about ignoring this call but if I did, he wished me good luck (in a sarcastic tone). This guy had a slight scottish accent, probably in his 60s.
I so wish I had been home to get the two "threatening" calls left on my answering machine from "Officer Eric Foster" (wanting a return call to from 416-477-6892). I could have directly addressed his request - considering I am a government lawyer.
