I don't know what you people are complaining. I got a call from them last week and made an appointment. A professional financial advisor came out and helped me with my financial situation. He actually helped me to save 240 bucks a month on my insurance. Great. Thank you.

Not so ridiculous...Consumer percption of the Industry is very negative...so much so that the Gov. needed to implement legislation for 'calling'..and so it would be almost intuitive that anyone defending telemarketers is being at best, deceptive...deceptive marketing is now punishable under CCPSA (C-36).If you are part of the industry and dont get this by now, liar is not the right word.....Stupid seems to fit much better.
It's people like who that keep people like them making money. Do research and get your own planner yourself. If they are worth their salt, they don't need to resort to telemarketing. When companies ignore the DNC list, they lose all credibility with me.
