This number has been calling my house for months. They are always asking for donations. They day that they are calling from the toronto police association but really they are not. I hope the police or someone looks into this. Thanks to the Internet we know what's real and what's not. I bet the donations that they ask for are going straight into their pockets. So sick and tired of it!
Sarah, this actually does go to the Police Association children's programs. Sometimes it is for Fishing Camps, sometimes for Wilderness days Canoeing with a few kids and an adult Mentor.
My Grandfather was a police officer who participated in these activities for children who would not have the opportunity to see these cool places.
If you give $20. once a year, you get a tax receipt and a nice feeling that you are helping shape someones view on life... It is worth it!
