Ditto. After my many questions and avoiding request to validate my numbers, he got angry and rude.
He yelled at me to stop wasting his time and to hang up the phone right away.
My advice is to caution all people you speak to and never give out info over the phone.
I just got a call from this number, but when I *67 before I called it back, it says the number you have dialed is no longer in service??????
So, then I just dialed it, Says same thing?????

I got a call 20 minutes ago. The person says I have been paying my bills on time and wanted to offer some promotions. I asked them from which bank since I have different accounts with different banks. They said they were from RBC which I do have an account with BUT I haven't used my credit card with them for probably a year. They asked when did I receive my last statement, I told them monthly then proceeded to ask for the 5 digits on my credit card. That's when I put a stop to the call and told him if he was actually the head office of my bank, they should already have my number on file. They said they need to verify I'm the actual card holder. I told them I wasn't interested and good bye! I then called up my bank and they don't think it was a legit sales call from RBC and asked me to report the call to antifraudcenter.ca... They did have my last name. I don't throw out any statements and shread (paper shreader) any paper that contains my name and addresses before throwing it out!
We received a phone call from this number. The gentleman who called became very aggressive and rude, using profanity when we wouldn’t co-operate. I called back the number and got “not in service” recording.
I recieved a call from a male he claimed he was calling from Visa, but didnt say which Visa, he than said he wanted to know when I last pay on my bill. I stop him,and said okay if your calling from visa . Tell me which visa, he replyed from Toronto. I said you didnt answer my question. I told him I just might have 10 visa cards . So he said RBC Visa . I laughted at him,and said okay thats a joke ,cause I dont have a RBC Visa, he than said he made a mistake, and said another name. They are trying to scam. When any Visa calls they will say RBC OR TD . They are very hungry for money,and they will try any thing!!!!BEWARE NEVER TO GIVE OUT ANY CARD NUMBER. CREDIT CARDS HAVE EVERY THING ON FILE. ALWAYS ASK FOR A CALL BACK NUMBER.
I also got a call from this guy...only i was really busy and answered his damn question...first he gave me the bs about checking to make sure they got my payment something about the postal strike - he new a lot of my personal info and said he wanted to verify my credit card - first he asked for the expiry date...and who know why but i gave it to him...then he asked for the number on the card and asked me to verify it with the security code. He also was quite agressive and started to get rude...so i said no thanks and immediately called the bank and cancelled my card. Dont ever give your expiry date or your 3 digit code on the back of your card. The bank will never ask you to verify your number as they have it in front of them. They really caught me off guard today...have been using my card a lot lately because of Christmas ... so wasnt sure if it was legit or not...Beware!!
