A person called from this number and did not want to leave her name. She might just make a guess for who is the owner of the phone number and call in. I called back, the system never mentioned the company's name and let you dial the extension. Once she picked up, she just said the message was not for me and will remove my phone number from their list. Obviously they are scamming you phone even if she performed normally but never told you who they are.

They are a STUPID Collection Agency who don't have the sense to realize that people owing debt change their tel # and [***] telephone companies like BELL and ROGERS and TELUS etc recycle the old #'s and these STUPID collection morons keep harassing the new telephone customers
Correct. But it is illegal for a debt collector to continue to call a phone number if it does not belong, or not related, to the person they want. You can either (a) Get their address & send them a registered/with return letter, or (b) Block the call. the problem with (b is that they'll spoof (fake) their number & call again. Go with (a).
