I was checking my voice mail and I had a message from Officer Steven Sidler, from the Tax Crime Investigation Unit of the CRA, (West Indian accent), and he informed me that my property was under investigation for tax fraud.  Left me a telephone number to call him back. After Googling the tel# and coming to this website, I immediately called the RCMP non-emergency line to report this.  If you are contacted by these people, please feel free to call 1-888-495-8501, which is the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, to report this activity.  Also, you can file a report online by visiting http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/.  You have to jump through some hoops to file a report (register for the website etc.)  I would love if this jacka$$ was caught so I could *see my user name*.

I got the same guy's call, and I reported to RCMP as well

Lol, I got the same message and he said his name is James from Revenue Canada.
For me it was obvious fishy since RC will not leave details in the Voicemessage and when I called after 6PM they were still open! But still I got scared that indeed I might have a legal case against me :(

I received a message.  A guy with an accent said that there was a complaint against my name and there was an investigation and if I did not respond there would be legal action.  I called in the evening a couple times and there was no answer and no recordings.  Seems fake.  This evening I called and the number has been disconnected.
