Same thing! It's a scam! They also sent me a check for 4K and the bank denied it. I took it to the Postmaster General and they are conducting an investigation. Stay away!
Claim Agent for 1st Capital & Mutual Inc. informing me that I won $170,000 US Dolars...They did send me a realistic looking check for $4318.39 and said not to use the check until I called them!
It's a scam - they also sent a very realistic looking check for 4K and a promise that i won 70K from Capital One Financial Inc. - and that all i had to do was send them money for taxes on the check and then deposit the check - the bank the check was supposedly issued from denies validating the check - so beware people!!
