Some numbnuts has been texting me with that number. Claims to be scotiabank and there in a problem with my account. Newsflash, I don't bank with them... pathetic scammer!!!

Phishing text claims that 'my' CIBC bank account needs to be activated and is followed by a a fake CIBC bank link. BTW, I cannot stand CIBC and they are the last bank I would deal with ;-)

Woke up to a fraudulent text claiming to be from CIBC. Their fraud FAQ at https://www.cibc.com/en/privacy-security/fraud-examples.html provided an email address. I suggest everyone who gets these fake CIBC messages forwarded them and the burner phone number to [email protected]
