I received this too and is same as internet email scams. You deposit the check and then send the money even tho' it looks like it cleared but check will be bounced back to you. I am reporting this to Attny General, Treasury Dept, etc. I suspect that many people lose money on this. Beware. Call citibank DE to verify funds and you will find it is fraudulent.
actually, i rec'd a letter and a check and instructions to call the number above first. Afterwards the instructions were to cash it (the check)first then contact the number above to receive further instructions before sending them a portion (2/3)of the check in order to receive a final check of the (lottery) settlement balance. (the phone contact stated that he did not know the address to whom the check would be sent...) I thought this suspicious enough to write to you for verification... thank you.
