got called today at around 1:15 pm, no-one answered. it didn't even make the clicking noise it usually makes when connecting. the call "talk-time" showed up as 0:00 on my phone
I just got a call from this number and when I picked up the phone, no one was there. I have gotten into the habit of picking up the phone and not saying anything until the other line does. It seems that some telemarketing calls are bots that when it detects a human voice, it transfers the call on their end to a real person. If I say nothing, it ends up just hanging up and that is what happened when I got a call from (416) 900-2931. When I called (416) 900-2931 back, it was a repeated voice recording of "Toll Free Forwarding <illegible> but sounds like "booticom". Though, this could be "point com" (as in tollfreeforwarding.com) Then something else in (what I assume is) spanish. This message loops continuously until you hangup.
Had the audacity to call 3 consecutive times within 10 minutes even knowing "police" were monitoring their call. It was the same operator, I guess she has a quota to fill. So much for 'do not call' legislation.
