Left a lazy, "I-couldn't-care-or-less-if-you-call-back" message saying that they have an offer for me, and to call them back. But from the comments I'm reading @ www.whocalled.us, it's probably best to protect myself and keep track of their calls and such. They are calling on behalf of TD Visa and we thought we had things worked out with them. Shame on TD for sicking such a low end, bottom dwelling agency after us. How desperate can they be????
They started calling me at work 3 or 4 times a day. very pushy, was telling me what i was going to do to re-pay this debt or they would garnish my pay for "however much we want" with no mention of any court order for garnishment. These people give snakes a bad name. i totally agree with jesse james ... say nothing and record their conversations. Very manipulative. In 2 conversations i caught her in no less than 6 full out lies. They'll say anything to get you to pay.
They are still calling me, but have kept it within the 3 calls per 7 day period. Most calls are just recorded messages to return their calls with some file #. This has been going on for 6 months now until just the other day when a real person called with how urgent it is I call them back, blah, blah, blah....on behalf of your bank. Do, they not know what bank they are acting on behalf?? They were threatening court action back in June and just last week another court action threat in a letter. They know my situation and have numbers of reference to contact, as I've tried to reason with them (in the beginning), but still they pester me. I wonder how long this could go on?
I guess if they were going to sue me, they would have a long time ago. (re: www.canadian-money-advisor.ca)
