Called saying they were doing a survey of banking institutions. Asked which bank I used. Seemed shady, so I lied. The caller then offered to send me a written survey to fill out which, if I returned I could receive a check as a "Thank you". When I told them I wasn't interested in doing another survey they quickly hung up.
Smells like a scam, answering the questions gives them your name, address and the name of your bank. Cashing the check would give them access to your account. This is like a phone based version of the Nigerian email scam.
