I did not answer. I NEVER answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. Anyone I want
to talk to I know and I know their phone numbers. I also never answer calls that say "Private Caller." Doctors' offices
are notorious for doing that. Ironic, because they ask you dozens of questions on their
forms every time you visit - but just ask them a question and you get zero.
received two calls today from 318-240-6523 on my landline and 417-204-5238 on my cell.
Both started with the same pitch to reduce my credit card interest. I got through to "Horatio" on the first call.
He wanted a credit card number so he could reduce my interest rate. I asked how come he is from "Member Services" and yet he doesn't know my credit card number. He replied "get your credit card m'f'ker". I asked him if those words are a usual part of the script he follows. He then started berating me and my wife. I guess I won't do business with them!
So I told him to wait a minute and then just left the phone down on the counter until he eventually hung up.
The second call on my cell came a few hours later. I spoke with someone (didn't catch the name). We went through the same conversation. Eventually I told him he didn't have to scam people like this and that I would pray for him. He hung up! I guess I'll still pray for him after I block his number.
