They called our house asking for Lawrence as well. They are selling "extended warranty" THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!! Not sure how they got our number, but they knew that we had a Toyota and wanted us to give them our credit card or debit card. They were very quite and didn't know what was going on. We hung up and called Toyota to ask them about it, they said they have been getting a bunch of reports like this, and they would NEVER call any of their customers to ask about extending the warranty. BEWARE!!!!
These people are totally insane - they call the same people all the time and know that everyone knows that they are a scam - they are causing everyone to use cell phones instead of land lines. This is a crime to call people just to get their number of calls made. This particular caller when asked would you please hang up and go away hesitated and then said "NO" and hung up. It would be funny except I know that there are some people who need a land line for health reasons and are being tortured daily sometimes hourly by these low class excuse me no class people.
My CID says "Mavaro" for this phone number. I don't pick up, but the woman keeps asking for Douglas. I read online that Mavaro Services sells scam extended warranties through another company called "American Auto Shield".
I am also on the do not call list, but receive several telemarketing calls per day. This phone number is one of them. I am going to report the other one as well.
I received a call from this number as well. And i recently purchased a car and have been receiving letters from this company.trying to sale me an extended warranty! Thanks for the information(" i don't want to be a victim of a scam!")
