CallerID name is truncated so there is some question just who it is that is calling. Very likely Nationwide Transfer. nationwidetransfer.com website that states it is located in Springfield, MO and lists 800 965 2481 as contact number but then lists 417 812-6593 in body of their "ad." www.redweek.com/forums/messages?thread_id=18713 has an enlightening thread with input by shill, oops, person who actually admits to working with this outfit.
According to the "insider," Nationewide Transfer offers "informative, no pressure" seminars for people to completely get out of their timeshares including maintenance fees--for $4995. Their pitch is that there is so little left over after attorney fees and such that they "don't make any profit for themselves." By this time I was laughing so hard and loudly that I had to stop reading the shill speak.
One might say that is not the same as 417 7201950, which is listed as a landline with Suddenlink Communications in Ozark, MO. It is a common tactic for a previous scamsters to appear to work from different locations. Usually accomplished by using a different Caller ID name on VoIP phones. Maybe they have packed up their operation and moved from Springfield to Ozark--Ozark is much closer to epicenter of timeshare scam central in the Branson-Tri Lakes area. Whatever the case, appears yet another timeshare scamster rears ugly head.
Spoofed Numbers: Caution, 417-720-1950 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.
