I got the following message from my credit union. I did not recieve the message, but they are stating that this is a scam. Do not call.


Dear Valued Member,


On Monday, October 15 many of our members received text messages stating the following:

“THE CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTlVATED. Please call 417-799-9220.”

This message was not initiated by AGCU. It is a scam designed to capture your debit card information. DO NOT respond to this text. These scam messages were not a result of AGCU account information being compromised. Recipients included members of other credit unions and non-credit union members. AGCU is cooperating with local and federal law enforcement to find those responsible for this act.

AGCU will never call, text or email you asking for account information.
