Used similar number but different area code which called 3 minutes later to collect for a credit card company but my bills are paid off under my new name. When I contacted Capital One they said I have zero balance due to payments received under my new name, but denies sending my former name to collectors for extra payment.

Caller Id says Capital Funds. The robo does not tell you who they are, only that they offer business funding cash in 5 days. ( I wonder if that is like AFLAC saying they pay claims in 4 days cuz that surely isn't the case with everyone I have spoken with.) Pressing to be removed from their call list does not work, so I proceed to press 1 for a rep. Jim answers. Jim is an idiot. He wants to speak with the owner but cannot tell me which owner or even what business he is calling. Jim was not happy when all he got was the run around.
