Got a call from a man claiming my computer has been getting many viruses over the last few months and that he could fix it. All I had to do was go to my computer and he would connect to it and take care of the viruses. I told him I knew this was a scam and to take my contact info off their list and never call again, and he replied (While screaming into the phone) that "its not a scam and to go "Fxxx my Pxxxy"", and hung up. I literally sat there stunned that anyone would yell that at someone. Definitely a SCAM. I hope the actual owner of the number this was hijacked from can disconnect it.
They called but I never answer if I don't recognize the number. Time to ditch the land line and let someone else deal with it.
The only time I use the land line is to find my cell when I can't find it. LOL
Called landline. Left no message. CID STEINBERGER, JO. Area code Ohio. Know no one there. We NEVER answer ANY unsolicited call. Just another CRIMINAL trying to victimize whoever answers the phone. Call ignored. Thank you all the people who post on 800notes.
Has anyone used/requested computer assistance from purported microsoft assistance line? After requesting/receiving assistance by telephone, this phone has been inundated with calls of all types.
