Called at 7:54 AM. The call was picked up by my voice mail. All I heard was a beep when I played it back. They called again at 10:00 AM. This time I picked up. A lady (I think) with a heavy accent came on and said she was calling from Microsoft tech support and that my computer was broadcasting that it was infected with viruses. I told her this was a really old scam and then put her on hold. My phone has some of the most annoying chip generated music while on hold. She didn't stay on the line very long. I usually play along for awhile and have a fun battle of wits with an unarmed person when these idiots call but didn't have the time today. It's even more fun when they figure out what I'm doing. Their reactions are priceless. Anyhoo, I've never run into the tactic where they call before 8 AM. Wonder if they are trying to get people, who aren't fully awake, to let them have access to their computers.
Calls started at 5:45AM on Sat AM, 3 so far this AM all before I woke up. I answered one, no one there, the other 2 left answering machine msg that was just dial tone. There appears to be a Terry L. Takacs in OH, so it seems his # has been spoofed. Crazy that they're calling at 5:45AM.
Same #, same name. Called at 5:59 a.m. on a Monday morning. Right when those last 10 minutes of sleep are the best. I didn't answer, but so angry anyone (non-emergency, non-family) would even try to call before a reasonable time.
