Got text requesting to email this fellow and got same email scam about being in military, thank God my gut made me look up SMSgt David Michael Smith, too bad someone is smearing this guy's name by being a scammer, there is a real SMSgt David Michael Smith who deserves better than this!
I almost got scammed too today! Thank goodness the person I was working with helped me find out that it was a scam. Everything was fine up until he said he was going to send me a payment more than I am selling my car to cover the pickup cost. I am not responsible for the person picking it up and that waved a red flag. Guys name was "Michael Garner" which fits the description of the last name that robert gave in his post.
I got a txt from same guy wanting to buy my vehicle. Micheal. trying to the same to so I came home got on computer and what I find. Well another sorry as***** trying to rip me off. not that dump they gonna have to do better than that
A guy going by the name Mike John has been texting me from 409-750-7872 wanting to buy a vehicle I have for sale on Craigs List. He wants to overnight by UPS a cashiers check and arrange for pick-up after check clears my bank. Tried to call - answering service - then he text again saying he is on a business trip, but for records his phone number is 419-684-0760. I texted him saying I was leery of out of state cashier check scams and need to talk to him in person if he is serious. I am glad I saw this website, so I know for sure I can delete this scammer from my phone - Thanks!!
I really should have done my research before spending my own money on this loser. I was an idiot, I got scammed, don't eb stupid. If he says his name is Michael Garner he's definitely a scammer.
