These people have been calling me about 3 times per day! 832-380-8272 from Tennesee and from a blocked #. This is clearly a scam! Don't give them any information!
When they first called, the lady said "I just called to let you know you have won a $1,000.00 shopping spree. Have a good day" then hung up. She called right back. It turns out I could get the $1,000.00 shopping spree if I signed up for a $16.95 magazing subscription for 60 months. I declined and she thanked me and ended the call. The name she gave me for her business was The Publishing Service which cannot be found on the web and also told me they have a website I could go to but I cannot access it until I was a member. I asked if there was any other way to verify the business and there was not. I searched by this area code and found this website which explains exactly what happened to me.
Got a call from this number earlier, saying the same things as what everyone else has been told. $1000 shopping spree from The Publishers because I was a preferred Visa or Mastercard holder, then asked if I still held either one of these cards and if they were attached to my checking account. I did not respond, so she went on to tell me they would send my certificate for the shopping spree in the mail tomorrow, she just need a few more details about me. I told her I was not interested and hung up.
SAME THING I KEEP ON GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER 423-272-9183 AND 423-272-0249 PLEASE EVERYONE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOUR BANK WILL NEVER CALL YOU AND ASK YOU FOR YOUR INFORMATION TO ANY OF YOUR ACCOUNTS OVER THE PHONE THEY ALREADY HAVE THAT INFO SO WHY WOULD THEY CALL YOU, ALSO KEEP IN MIND THESE PEOPLE THAT CALL FROM THESE NUMBERS ONLY WANT YOU TO PAY FOR CRAP THAT ISNT WORTH IT.
IT IS A SCAM FOR SURE AND IT ISNT RIGHT FOR THEM TO CALL US EVEN IF WE FILL OUT SURVEYS ONLINE FOR MORE GODFATHER POINTS THIS IS WRONG

i got the call just today, from (423) 586-1824! same thing visa or mastercard entered me to win $1000 shopping spree and that they would send me some claim form to pick it up all they needed to know was my age and if I was employed. I mistakinly gave them my age but said unemployed. Are they going to drain my bank account? should I change my account???
