Have asked at least 4 times for "National Center for Aging" to STOP callling me! That seems to make it worse. I received two calls today. How do I stop this other than having my number changed?
Here's the question I have. six months before I turned 65, I started getting solicitations for medigap policies, and most of the phone numbers I report here are some sort of senior scam.
How the hell do they know our ages? How does AARP know when people turn 50? Why is this info public?
You can thank every "American" company who outsourced IT services to India and laid American workers off. Those Indian workers have zero scruples and they stole all the data from those "American" companies to sell to criminals.
There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to hold the phone companies responsible (at last!) for these phone calls since they do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone robo calls to consumers.
The petition is to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) to take action to get the phone companies to at least offer free number blockers through their phone system.
Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.
Please go to www.EndRobocalls.org to end the madness, harassment and scams.
