This is a company that comes up on caller-ID as Starnet. I called back and hit 0 for operator. Said they were trying to find out if anyone in household had back problems, (apparently they sell backbraces), didn't get into the charges of braces but I have an idea they send to you free and bill Medicare. FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD (if you ask me. Told her yes, I have had back problems since 1999. BUT I told her I have taken care of my problems the correct way, through a licensed practicing in good standing Doctor. Asked to be removed from the call list and got some type of response but could not understand her (did I mention she barely spoke english) and a hang-up. Called back immediately and DEMANDED to be removed from their list then I hung up. Only time will tell if I get repeat calls. Just a word of caution to people who suffer pain, I know how you feel, but please don't get with a scammer, go to a Doctor. If your first Doctor doesn't help go to another. There are many ways to get help but not by being SCAMED.
Two calls from this number... Caller I.D. says STARNET. Women with heavy accent saying she returning call from my number (not true - I never called them) about an inquiry I made regarding a back brace.
I told here I'm on National Do-Not-Call List, but before I could ask her to remove my number from their call files, she hung up on me.
When I get calls like this, I never return them. If the number is not known to me, I look online to research the source. Received the call one to date. I agree with probable Medicare fraud. I worked in a healthcare fraud detection capacity. The in exchange information smacks of FRAUD. Do not give any personal info to this caller. Your medical info is Privacy Guarded info. Beware of this type of call GIVE NO INFO. Avoid being a victim.
I received a call from this number, the woman said her name was Olivia, however it was difficult to understands her & sounded like she was asking for Olivia. I told her wrong number, she seemed a little stunned & continued with reading her script. I then told her never to call this number again. Over & over I just kept saying don't call this number again! Then hung up. Where do these people get our numbers from? Are they getting it through an illegal healthcare/medicare database?
