Caller ID and recorded message says they are CitiFinancial calling about our Home Depot business account. We don't have a Home Depot account. The recorded message leaves messages on our answering machine. I don't answer the phone.
Answered first call, no one said anything dead silence. Figured it was a wrong number. Got called about 4 hours later, let it go, no voicemail left. I have HD as well and late by a few days on a $25 payment. What's the sense in calling if you don't say anything or leave a message?????????
Calls from this number have a Caller ID of CITIFINANCIAL. On one unanswered call, a message was left on my answering machine telling me that i must call their number regarding a Home Depot account I do not have. If the caller represented a legitimate institution and there was a financial issue with respect to an account, the institution would send a formal letter. In the absence of a letter and because I do not have a Home Depot account, I must assume the phone caller does not represent Home Depot and is not legitimate.
