It is from Lisa Stansbury's campaign. She is running for Mayor of Bradley County TN. I received several unwanted and annoying phone calls from this number. The campaign has called my home phone, my cell phone, and my husband's cell phone. My husband's cell phone is registered in another city and county. Apparently someone is providing her with numbers to call. My guess is that it is the Bradley County School Board since they are the only ones that I can think of who have all 3 numbers including my husband's cell phone like I said is registered in another city and county. Some of the school board members have also been in hot water for sending emails to school employees promoting Lisa and wasting our teachers time and therefore our tax dollars. I received calls even after I told them to stop calling my number. They have wasted my time, money, and cell phone minutes. Do they really think that cell phone minutes are free? Bradley County is a poor county and we the people who live here don't need someone wasting our money. The job situation here is terrible. Because of these calls, I WILL NOT be voting for Lisa Stansbury though I am a Republican and she is running as a Republican. These calls and the wasting of taxpayers time and money, have demonstrated to me that she would not be good for our county. I wish we could get real people in the government who cared about real people's needs.
I wish the government would come up with a real DO NOT CALL LIST that would actually work. Right now solicitor's (even paid ones) who call on behalf of a non profit organization, political calls, and survey calls are not subject to the Do Not Call List Law. They are exempt. Hello, anyone out there in government realize that we the people on the Do Not Call list do not want these types of calls either? Even when there is a complaint filed, it seems nothing gets done about it. If we are going to make laws, we need to make them useful and effective. We need to have the ability to enforce the laws. Also, I would love the ability to block calls coming from outside of the US. Does anyone know if there is anyway to block those calls without having to pay for a service and enter each number by hand into the system? The calls I get from other countries are all scams. Americans are being scammed!
I also work for bradley county school system, I would have voted for Lesa Stansberry had I not received calls from her campaign on my home and cell phone.
