In the middle of my work day my phone goes off(vibrating) and when i answer, they just hang up with out saying anything. Very annoying to say the least.
This is a spam call. These people are calling to offer a vacation package blah blah blah. And all you have to do is pay for the weekly shipping and handling of approx. $7.00-$10.00 a week for 3 years. A bunch of blah blah blah After hearing only 30 seconds of the rehearsed conversation I told her I was not interested and to not call my phone again.
called today.said they were from publishers. asking for someone by name -- other than me...so i got suspicious...said they'd take me off the list...lol..right. Wouldn't tell me about anything. Got off call quick when I get real inquisitive.
I keep getting calls from this number and several others that just come up as unknown or "anonymous" on my cell phone. They want to offer me magazines or free round trip tickets or that I've won a sweepstakes. As soon as I say I'm not interested they just hang up abruptly which makes me wonder if it's not some individual person or group of people who are trying to steal credit card numbers. Because usually when you say you're not interested a real telemarketer would keep pressing you into buying or at least say "thank you for your time, if you have any questions you can contact (enter number), have a nice day."
They claim that I signed up for this on the internet, but I can attest that I have not signed up for anything and I certainly didn't put up my cell phone number.
I got a call from 423-733-9672 at around noon today. The guy knew my name and went into some BS about how I'd won a $500 online shopping spree. I hung up after he started to ask me to confirm that I had a VISA card/etc.
I got a call from a woman saying I won a $500.00 internet shopping spree. I just woke from my nap and was not thinking straight she told me all I had to do is pay for the shipping charges. So she asked me for my credit card number. Like an idiot I gave her my number but it's not activated yet and She doesn't have the security code on the back. Then she asked me for my social security number and again Not thinking I gave it to her GRRRRRRR!!!.After the call I got up out of bed and was thinking about what have I done!!!!!!! all I can do is call the police and make a report of the call so if anything happens to my identity it will be on file that I and the police new about it. next I will call my card company and bank and tell them what happend so they can beawere of the situation. I was a Privete Investegator and I might get this one myself I still have clearance with the gov. to get info. I know for a fact that this case will be solved they think their clever. Yeah I know they got me..lol but well see who's on the inside looking out.
