Call center reportedly connected with Wydham Hotesls, offering discount vacation packages at $169.95 for 4 days, 3 nights. They had considerable personal information, including my name, billing address, the date of my last stay at a Travelodge, and wanted my credit card number, which I did not provide.
called, female voice, sounded like a bar crowd in the background, claimed to be with Wyndham Hotels regarding a stay with Super 8 in a hotel with which I had actually stayed. They offered me hotel related gifts, but i declined and got off the phone. I could see where it could lead to me providing them my credit card number. i'm very uncomfortable with the whole situation.
i live close to where that place is, and have a couple of friends that have worked there (they can't keep people cause of their ridiculous quotas) they have part ownership or something over some hotels and they call people who have stayed in them before to offer deals on packages to try to get more business.
the bar crowd would be the non working employees.
pointless, and annoying.. but not a scam
